Every Monday in June, I take a peak back of something or how someone transpired from the past to the present. Today we take a look at gas prices. Over the years, slight increases have now turned into skyrocketed prices at the pump. Got the chance to go through some old photos the other day and the price in that picture was a good bargain, $2.65. As of today, the current price of gas is $3.30. That is the lowest I could find in the area. It really is dismal feeling when a good percentage of your paycheck drains towards gas. There is one upside to it though. I found some ways to save.
WAYS TO SAVE AT GAS STATIONS:
--Membership Rewards.Stations partner will various food outlets to knock off cents at the Pump.
Price Chopper
Sheetz
Turkey Hill
--A social user plugged website, gasprices.com, let's users submit prices in their community. It's a great tool because you don't have to drive around to find the lowest. They also feature a mobile app.
--Conserve. Every paycheck, put a few extra dollars away towards gas each month. Then at the end of each month, use that 'bonus' money to put that extra gallon or two of gas.
That's this weeks What's Happening. Any comments, feel free to email me at EverythingNEPA@yahoo.com or simply leave a comment on here. Happy Driving!
